STEP 1. Work on your Speech or Skit

Before you can even sign up for the contest, you'll need to do the following:

SPEECH COMPETITION

  1. Read the Speech Competition Handbook.

  2. Choose your topic.

  3. Write your script in Japanese and English.

  4. Decide on your speech’s title

  5. Record your speech video.

  6. Download and fill out the
    Instructor Verification Form:

SKIT CONTEST

  1. Read the Skit Contest Handbook.

  2. Form a skit group.

  3. Choose a topic.

  4. Write a script in Japanese and English.

  5. Decide on your skit’s title.

  6. Decide on a group name.

  7. Choose a group leader.

  8. Record your skit video.

  9. Download and fill out the
    Instructor Verification:

STEP 2. Have all necessary information ready

  • ​Video of your speech or skit

  • Script of your speech or skit

  • Instructor Verification Form (signed)

  • Your instructor's email address

  • Name of your current Japanese class
